Injection molding equipment supplier Absolute Haitian has partnered with Procter & Gamble's subsidiary iMFLUX in Hamilton, Ohio, and signed a distribution agreement that will provide Haitian servo hydraulic and Zhafir electric injection molding machines with iMFLUX processing software as an option. The two companies announced their agreement on April 30, 2021, which will benefit moldmakers in the United States and Canada.

The integrated software enables molders to perform iMFLUX low-constant pressure injection molding, where the molding equipment automatically recognizes changing conditions and responds through real-time adaptation. According to partners, the integration of iMFLUX on Haitian and Zhafir injection molding machines will enable processors to use more sustainable materials, including post-consumer recycled content, thereby reducing energy, wear and waste.

"Absolute Haitian's philosophy is to provide technology that can help our customers achieve greater success, rather than limit them to proprietary technology," Mike Ortolano, owner of Absolute Haitian in Worcester, Massachusetts, said in a statement Say. "We hope to help injection moulders in a flexible way so that they can apply the technology to the entire fleet of injection moulding machines. Our cooperation with iMFLUX is very suitable for this approach. The integration of iMFLUX is expanding the capabilities of our machines."

The two companies will host virtual events to showcase their innovations. These events are scheduled for May 25, 2021 (iMFLUX) and June 10, 2021 (Absolute Haitian), and will demonstrate the active machine unit of iMFLUX technology on a 618-ton Haitian Jupiter III two-plate servo hydraulic press. The JU5500 III will run a four-cavity houseware mold—two bowls, four spoons and a lid—and recycled polypropylene. The machine unit includes a Hilectro servo robot and a Fanuc collaborative robot.
